“Did you know that stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs)—like rain gardens, detention basins, and infiltration systems—only work if they’re properly maintained?”
In New Holland Borough, property owners (including HOAs, businesses, and residents) are responsible for maintaining their post-construction stormwater BMPs in accordance with the Borough’s MS4 Stormwater Ordinance and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Agreements. Regular inspections and maintenance—like removing sediment, managing vegetation, and ensuring proper drainage—help prevent flooding, reduce pollution, and protect our local waterways.
Proper BMP maintenance isn’t just good practice—it’s required. Stay proactive and help keep New Holland’s water clean!
