Recycling News


If you are on the Boro’s Trash program, the following
 items must be recycled:

*Aluminum beverage cans
*Steel food & beverage cans, aerosol cans, paint cans

*Clear, brown, blue and green glass food and beverage containers

*#1 through #7
*Remove caps/lids
*Rinse thoroughly to remove all contaminants
*It is OK to leave on labels and neck rings

*Please break down boxes as flat as possible and put them out next to your recycle bin if they do not fit in your bin
*All sizes of cardboard boxes                           *Clean pizza boxes (no oil marks)
*Food boxes (i.e. cereal & gelatin boxes)         *Empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls
*Paperboard packaging (i.e. tissue boxes)       *Office paper (any color)
*Newspapers and inserts

*Magazines, catalogs and brochures
*Envelopes & junk mail                                       *Paper bags
*Phone books and other soft cover books

  • Remove all packaging (Styrofoam, peanuts, plastic bubble wrap, plastic liners, etc.)
  • Flatten ALL boxes
  • Bundle all cardboard that does not fit into the recycling bin
  • Cover loose paper with heavier items to prevent it from blowing away
  • If the weather forecast calls for high winds or wet weather, keep your paper recyclables until the next week.

*If your water/sewer/trash bill is due on a weekend, the payment must be in our drop box located by the front door by 7 a.m. Monday or postmarked by the due date. Otherwise, it will be considered late and receive a penalty.
*The Borough does NOT accept post-dated checks.
*Please keep owner and renter contact info updated with the Borough office.
